Auction Date
The first Virtual Power Plant auction on the Danish market is scheduled for Tuesday, 22 November 2005.
Elsam will offer 250 MW of Virtual Power Plant capacity that will be active in the first quarter of 2006.
The Nomination Aggregator
Elsam is pleased to announce the selection of Nord Pool Spot AS as the Nomination Aggregator. Nord Pool Spot will be acting as an intermediary to ensure full anonymity of the daily deliveries of power from Elsam to owners of VPP. At the same time, Nord Pool Spot will be the counterparty to the owners of VPP concerning the daily settlement of deliveries.
As previously announced, Nord Pool ASA will be acting as the technical enabler of the Virtual Power Plant auctions.
Information session October 5th 2005
Elsam will host a second information session on 5 October 2005 in Billund. The information session is open to potential eligible bidders only. The highlights of the session will be:
Valuation of the VPP-Options
Changes to the qualification process
Nomination: Presentation of the nomination software by Nord Pool Spot AS.

Release of the final legal documents
The final versions of the legal documents will be published in the near future. At the same time, we will issue a newsletter highlighting the most significant changes from the draft versions published earlier.
Potential bidders may sign up to participate in the auction as soon as the final legal documents are released. The final deadline for applications is 31. October 2005.
