DONG Energy Generation has just completed the second of four auctions taking place in 2008 where one product was successfully sold:

3-months' product
200 MW delivered in the third quarter of 2008 was purchased by 5 compa-nies. In the auction, an option price of 22.80 EUR/MWh (equivalent to a To-tal Option Price of 50,340 EUR/MW) was determined for the right to use the capacity in the third quarter 2008.

Owners of 3-months' Virtual Power Plant Capacity pay an additional set price of 46.94 EUR/MWh when electricity is supplied.

Next auction
The next auction is scheduled for 27 August 2008 where 300 MW are offered for supply. The 300 MW will be supplied in two products defined by their duration of 3 months (200 MW) and 36 months (100 MW).

In cooperation with the Danish Competition Authority, DONG Energy Gener-ation will appoint a Trustee to ensure the smooth operation of the auction. The details of the bidders are kept confidential thus information is not made available or disclosed to the individual bidders or DONG Energy Generati-on.
