DONG Energy Generation has just completed the last of four auctions taking place in 2007. On 27 November two products were successfully sold:

3-months' product
200 MW delivered in the first quarter of 2008 was purchased by 6 compa-nies. In the auction, an option price of 22.42 EUR/MWh (equivalent to a To-tal Option Price of 48,948 EUR/MW) was determined for the right to use the capacity in the first quarter 2008.

Owners of 3-months' Virtual Power Plant Capacity pay an additional set price of 38.94 EUR/MWh when electricity is supplied.

12-months' product
200 MW delivered in the year 2008 was purchased by 5 companies. In the auction, an option price of 19.49 EUR/MWh (equivalent to a Total Option Price of 171,180 EUR/MW) was determined for the right to use the capacity in the year 2008.

Owners of 12-months' Virtual Power Plant Capacity pay an additional set price of 37.62 EUR/MWh when electricity is supplied.

Next auction
The next auction is scheduled for 26 February 2008 where 200 MW is of-fered for supply. The 200 MW will be supplied in one product defined by a duration of 3 months, starting 1 April 2008.

In cooperation with the Danish Competition Authority, DONG Energy Gen-eration has appointed Deloitte as Trustee to ensure the smooth operation of the auction. The auction itself takes place on the internet through the Nordic Power Exchange, Nord Pool, in Oslo. The details of the bidders are kept confidential thus information is not made available or disclosed to the indi-vidual bidders or DONG Energy Generation.
